For increased biodiversity on our planet

We are committed to protecting biodiversity on our planet as a fundamental prerequisite for an intact ecosystem. We, at HUGO BOSS, also incorporate natural raw materials such as cotton and wool, in our products. This, also, underlines our dependence on biodiversity. At the same time, our business activities, in particular, the production of raw materials and the manufacturing of our products, have an impact on the environment. Consequently, we have made biodiversity one of our priorities in sustainability management. We are committed to preserving biodiversity by taking measures such as reducing our emissions, implementing responsible chemical management, using more sustainable materials – for instance from regenerative agriculture, closing materials cycles, and protect animal welfare. In order to be able to protect biodiversity at our company sites, we have conducted and commissioned comprehensive studies to evaluate and assess our direct impact. CONSERVING OUR FORESTS

Our forests are of great importance to people, the environment and animals. They preserve the global water and material cycles, the climate and the preservation of biological diversity. At the same time, they are also an important source of raw materials. Paper plays an important role in our packaging materials. In addition, wood is also a basic material for selected textiles: Fibers such as viscose, modal and lyocell are derived from wood. In collaboration with the environmental organization Canopy, we have therefore committed to protect the world’s ancient forests and support ending deforestation by sourcing these materials more sustainably, by relying on optimized recycled content, certified sources and alternative solutions.
